Going ‘Out Out’? Dance On Over To These London Nightclubs!
London has a variety of districts chock full of fantastic clubbing opportunities. Shoreditch, Oxford Circus, Liverpool Street — to name a few. If you’re setting off on a party holiday, or simply want to blow off some steam on a Friday night after a stressful work day — these London nightclubs are some of the best for an experience you’re sure to remember.
THE GRAND
The Grand, located in Clapham, Battersea, is a truly unique attraction. It’s quintessentially London with its architecture. This nightclub has actually been built into the frame of an old Victorian theatre!
Many praise this club for being a prime representative of London culture. It was originally built in the 1900s and is capable of housing over a thousand people — with a range of appeal for each and every one of them. Not only does The Grand host regular club nights, but you can even snag a showing of Mamma Mia, or a unique cabaret performance!
The DJs are talented, the cocktails are delicious, and the music covers everything from DnB to House to Disco. You can also rent this venue out, making it one of the London nightclubs you can have all for yourselves! What more could you dream of?
TRAPEZE
Trapeze, located along Great Eastern Street Shoreditch, gives itself away with its title. This quirky cocktail bar offers up a delightful array of circus-themed goodies and experiences.
You can sip a beverage or have a boogie in the company of trained circus performers. Perhaps they’ll even flip and fly right over your head! However, we’d advise you to give this one a miss if you’ve got a fear of clowns. The booths and bar often have clown-themed decorations dotted around. We wouldn’t want them to ruin your night out!
There’s even food available. If you’re a fan of American-style diners, you’re in for a real treat with Trapeze. We’d recommend the buffalo wings. They’re a real showstopper!
THE BRIXTON COURTYARD
The Brixton Courtyard at Brixton Jamm, located in — you guessed it — Brixton is one of London’s most popular party destinations. Not only this, its chill environment makes it the perfect place for a pint with friends on a relaxing weekday evening.
This ‘socially distant outdoor experience’ often hosts a variety of events. Live music, DJ performances, disco parties, drag bingo, painting nights and more! The Brixton Courtyard is truly a triumph of a nightclub in that it offers more than your average dancefloor-and-bar-combo experience.
Brixton Jamm also serves a variety of delicious cuisine, however, it’s best known for its drinks menu. The wine selection is reportedly some of the best bang for your buck in the area!
INFERNOS
If you’re a fan of cheesy tunes and lively nights out, you’re in for a treat with Infernos. This club, located along Clapham High Street, is well-beloved by locals and tourists alike.
Infernos is one of the London nightclubs that make a point of giving a ‘traditional clubbing experience.’ It’s also accredited to the revival of the retro clubbing scene in London. Specializing in nights centred around disco and pop music, Infernos is one of the best clubs in London to lose yourself in nostalgia. You’re likely to hear some ABBA tunes in this venue, alongside Queen, Beyonce, S Club 7—even good ol ‘cotton-eyed joe!
Locals also claim that the drinks are more than friendly to your wallet. In London, that’s a rare treat indeed! If you’re after a thrilling night out full of laughter, dance, and disco tunes, Infernos is the club for you. You can even sing karaoke!
THE PIANO WORKS
The Piano Works, Farringdon, is ‘London’s only non-stop audience-led live music restaurant and bar.’ What does that mean, you ask? Well, we’re here to tell you.
The Piano Works is truly a unique venue. Whilst all of these clubs have a huge array of appeal, we’ve truly kept to the idea of ‘saving the best until last’ here, with the Piano Works standing out massively due to its individual approach to clubbing. Partygoers simply write their song of choice down and pass it to staff or the musicians themselves — and that song will later be performed live in front of your very eyes! Attendees affectionately call the performers ‘human jukeboxes’, and we can see why.
As well as listening to some fabulous live music, you’ll be able to tuck into a delightful dinner menu or sip from some of the finest wines in the area. What are you waiting for? Check out their website here, and check yourself into a night of eccentric excitement!
