Recycling in a short-let apartment is simple; think Reduce, Reuse, Recycle<\/em>!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Everyone, regardless of where they are, should make an effort to recycle, in my opinion. Depending on where you live, recycling may not be as simple as you’d like. Recycling simply means taking used materials and transforming them into something new<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recycling has almost become a universal language, as every effort to reduce waste counts! Also, more and more guests are looking for environmentally friendly accomodation. And recycling counts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because there is an urgent need to save the environment, sustainable living is now a responsibility, so if you own a short-term rental and are looking for eco-friendly ideas to reform your property while also saving money (because, after all, you do). There are things to put in place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When talking about recycling in a short-let apartment, first remember that guests on vacation generate waste in the same way that they would at home. So it is essential to provide clear, simple recycling instructions to assist them in recycling during their stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every community has slightly different rules about what can and cannot be recycled, so it is essential to assist them in this regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a start, clearly label your bins and containers to encourage your guests to use them. Leave information about how to recycle, where recycling bins are and bin collection days etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To begin reducing waste, invest in reusable items on your property, and also equip your short-term apartment with environmentally friendly household appliances. They may appear expensive at first, but you will save money in the long run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You might want to think about natural lighting, temperature-regulating materials, solar power, and other options. All these simply reduce your carbon footprint in general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Install a recycling bin into the apartment. Start by putting a couple of bins in the front. Label them and keep the items separate. Use reusable shopping bags that can be lifted out easily when you’re ready to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recycle<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Think of different ways you can reuse items in the apartment. Instead of using napkins, tissues, or paper towels use real towels that can be washed rather than thrown away. Repurpose glass jars as storage jars and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essentially, invent in multipurpose items that guests can use over and over again around the apartment. A toothpaste dispenser here, a bathroom holder there, making sure they are always in their best state and clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Invest in Non-Disposables<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Instead of disposable utensils, dishes, and containers, provide non-disposable ones for your guests to use in your short-term rental property. You even get to save money by investing in durable items at the end of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rather than buying and disposing of a large number of plastic water bottles, consider purchasing a water filter for your guests.\u00a0This also heavily reduces plastic waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go Smart<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smart Lights. To save energy<\/a>, consider smart lighting. Installing this allows you to save energy by turning off lights from a distance. This is a winner in our book for helping to save power, hence remaining environmentally conscious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Smart thermostat. Installing a smart thermostat will allow you to control the temperature of your air conditioner from anywhere. So, for example, you can set the temperature and have it turn off when the guest leaves. There is no risk of leaving the air conditioning on afterwards, which means no waste!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, if possible, install solar panels to generate your own energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recycle to help reduce your environmental impact. All you really have to do is make an extra effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
