It is also important to clarify expected behaviours that conform with environmental preservation best practices in waste management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some pointers that we think may be useful to both landlords and tenants in clarifying waste disposal responsibilities and how to properly dispose of both household and commercial waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.clooper.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/recycling-tenants-1024x683.jpeg\" alt=\"waste management\" class=\"wp-image-385\" height=\"NaN\"\/><figcaption><a href=\"https:\/\/unsplash.com\/s\/photos\/recycling?utm_source=unsplash&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_content=creditCopyText\">Unsplash<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/unsplash.com\/@pawel_czerwinski?utm_source=unsplash&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_content=creditCopyText\">Pawel Czerwinski<\/a>   <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Landlord&#8217;s Responsibility&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The waste generated by rental properties, when they are vacant, is the landlord&#8217;s responsibility. Because renting out properties is considered a business, the landlord is solely liable for <strong>such<\/strong> commercial waste.<br><br>This means any waste left within or dumped outside the property becomes the landlord&#8217;s responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As commercial waste is not collected by the council, the landlord must dispose of it by hiring a skip or licensed waste collectors. The landlord is solely responsible for commercial waste that is not generated by the tenant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because commercial waste will not be disposed of by the local council, the tenant must hire a skip or licensed waste collectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some large items, such as refrigerators or other white goods, are frequently picked up for free by the council, so it is a good idea to call them to
